A fairly short ride which is abour 50% off road the remainder on quiet back roads. Start at Yeat House, Woodland SD 24870 88624. There is usually plenty of space to park just off the road. Head off in a NNE direction following the broad path as it climbs gradually away from the road. After approx 0.5 miles you reach a Y junction, just after crossing a small stream. Take the right hand fork up the steep climb heading NEE. The path then descends quite steeply and curves round to the South as it levels off in the valley bottom. It can be pretty boggy here as the path continues to descend. Eventually the path passes between two walls and you ford the small beck. Continue in the SE direction with the wall on your left, ignore any paths off to the left or right and the path shortly joins a tarred road. Follow this road for approx 0.5 mile until you reach a T junction. Turn right here and head NW up this road as it climbs to Tottlebank. After approx 1 mile you reach a collection of houses (Tottlebank) and the road reverts to a rough track. Pass through the gate and follow the track as it makes its way out on to the fell again. After 0.5 miles there is a Y junction keep right here and follow the track across the fell until it joins the road again at The Giants Grave. Turn right and follow the road down the steep incline, in approximately 1 mile you will be back at your starting point.
